The Armonk Fire Department is 100% volunteer. Our
department is made up of approximately 60 active men and women who willingly give up their time for the community, 24 hours a day. Some of the members are Firefighters, EMT's, or both and we are always
looking for more to join.
You do not need any training, the department will provide all of it for
you free of charge. Along with responding to fire related events in
Armonk, we are also an EMS agency, and provide Emergency Medical
Services to the villages of Armonk and Banksville. To see our full
area of coverage you can look at our District Map.
Along with just serving our own district, we frequently get called out
for mutual aid to other departments. This occurs when more resources
are needed in another area of the county. The mutual aid system is
coordinated by the Westchester County Office of Emergency Management, and our
dispatching center, 60 Control, along with the battalion chiefs, and
the chiefs of the local departments. On average we get about 1,000
calls per year, and about half of them are Fire and the other half are
Medical calls. If you have any questions about the Fire Department, you
can browse our frequently asked questions page below, or look around
the site to get more information. If you have any other questions,
please feel free to contact us.
